Mihoko Seki "Kokeshi" Washi Kaishi Paper (Set B / 18 Sheets)
Kaishi is a small sheet of Japanese washi traditionally carried folded inside a kimono, its name literally means “pocket paper”. In tea ceremony, it is used for serving and holding sweets, as well as for small practical tasks such as wiping utensils.
But kaishi was never limited to one purpose. These little sheets of paper can still be used in many ways today, as a small plate for sweets, a coaster, memo paper, blotting paper, or folded into a tiny envelope or gift pouch.
This set is illustrated by Japanese stencil artist Mihoko Seki, with her warm and playful folk kokeshi dolls printed on Japanese washi.
